How is a Chemical Peel Done?

Recovery from a Chemical Peel
After a chemical peel, the skin will be very sensitive, and you should avoid direct sunlight following the treatment. For superficial peels, many patients only need a couple of days before their skin is healed. Makeup can typically be worn the next day. For medium peels, many patients need up to two weeks to heal. The skin will be red and swollen but should subside within a couple days. A mild cream may be applied, but makeup shouldn’t be worn until the skin is healed.
