Butt Augmentation

in Grand Rapids, MI

In today’s society having a rounder buttock is desirable. This helps women to have a curvier profile which enhances the feminine look. Men have been turning to buttock augmentation too if they cannot reach their ideal contours through exercise. Many women and men are looking for ways to get their ideal buttock profile, one of these is through buttock augmentation.  In Grand Rapids, Dr. John Iacobucci is a highly sought-after plastic surgeon. He helps patients feel more confident in their body by offering buttock augmentation at his office

What Is Butt Augmentation?

Butt augmentation enhances the shape and profile of your buttocks. Dr. Iacobucci uses fat transfer techniques to help with the new profile and contour. Butt augmentation gives patients a renewed confidence in their look. It can help to balance out the rest of your bodies proportions as well. Butt augmentation helps to not only create a curvier profile but improves the proportion of your waistline by using some fat from the waist and inserting it into the buttock.

How is Butt Augmentation Done?

There are a few techniques that have been created for buttock augmentation. One of the most advanced techniques Is fat transfer. Fat transfer is a process of harvesting fat from a donor area on your body that has excess fat tissue, such as the waist, arms, abdomen, or thighs. Once the donor fat is taken, it will be sterilized and prepared for injection. Dr. Iacobucci will take the injectable fat and insert it into predetermined areas on your buttocks for the augmentation. He will typically inject more fat than is necessary since not all of it will stick. The fat is a natural alternative to older techniques of using implants for buttock augmentation. This reduces the possibility of the body rejecting the tissue and there is no risk of an allergic reaction since it is your own tissue.

Recovery for Butt Augmentation?

This procedure is done on an outpatient basis so you will be able to return home afterward. A compression garment will be worn to help minimize swelling and to support the tissues. You may experience some bruising, swelling, and some discomfort for the first few days. It is important that you do not sit directly on your buttock or put a lot of pressure on the buttock for the first six weeks as this can obstruct the results. Strenuous activities should be limited for the first month. After this some light exercise can start to be introduced. Most patients need at least eight weeks of recovery until they can resume all normal activities again.
