What is a Brow Lift?
This is a cosmetic surgical procedure that helps to lift a drooping eyebrow and smooth out worry lines that run across the forehead. This helps to improve the look of the forehead, brows, and eyes causing you to look younger.
How is a Brow Lift Done?
The brow lift procedure can be done with either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. An incision will be created along your hairline at the top of your head in order to correct the skin and conceal the scar. Depending on the amount of change needed, the incision site may vary along with the head. The skin will be lifted and tightened causing a smoother forehead look.
Recovery from a Brow Lift?
Your incisions will be closed with sutures and bandaged to help protect it from infection as well as minimize bleeding and swelling. You will be able to return home the day of your surgery with supervision from a loved one. Dr. Iacobucci will provide you with specific instructions for how to care for the surgical site, what medications to use, and when to follow up with him. It is important that you don’t partake in any strenuous activity while you are healing. Also, you should always keep your head elevated. Most patients are able to return to work and most daily activities within ten-to-fourteen days.
